For a station in Greater London, Sudbury Hill Harrow has an unusually infrequent service, with only one train per hour in either direction - northbound to High Wycombe and southbound to Marylebone. With an average of 147 passengers per day, it is among the 100 least used stations in the capital. There's not even a ticket machine. When the station opened to passenger services on 1 March 1906, it was known as South Harrow. On 19 July 1926 it was changed to Sudbury Hill Harrow. However, this name can cause confusion with the neighbouring Sudbury Hill underground station.
