Former railway alignment

Part of the original Stockton and Darlington Railway, it was latterly the entrance line into Shildon Works. The little display alongside the path comprises a wagon axle set on stone sleepered rails with some very early cast iron fish-belly rails beyond, together with a more modern semaphore signal.
