Listed in the English Heritage entry as the Black Lion Inn although no inn sign is visible. This pair of buildings is numbered 1 and 2 Black Lion Hill. To the right is the separately listed no 3 Black Lion Hill. Nos 1-3 have recently been refurbished. Nos 1-2 are 17th century or earlier. No 3 is a former 18th century cottage. They are grade II listed.
