Happy Christmas was originally painted on this railway bridge, close to Sandhurst station, by college students in 1967 as a prank following a Christmas party. Over the years the graffiti came to be regarded with affection by local people but by the 2020s the words had badly faded despite a repaint in 1988. In a collaboration between Network Rail and Sandhurst Town Council, the words were redone - officially this time - in November 2024 with the result seen here.
