The Deepings Community Library, Market Deeping

The Deepings Community Library on High Street is located on the site of a former farmhouse which was acquired in 1820 by local solicitor Samuel Sharpe, who converted it into a family home and added the Georgian frontage. It is known as Wade House because it served for many years as the home of another local solicitor Richard Wade (1899-1982). Wade House was acquired from Richard Wade by the then Kesteven County Council in 1972 and was converted into Deeping Library. The building was extensively renovated in 2014 and reopened as the Deepings Community Library in January 2016.
