The north side of the square (only the north and west were built), all built as part of solicitor John Lee's large speculative development. These were designed by Charles Watson and built in 1799-1803. The centre is given the customary emphasis by means of a full-width pediment (Image]). They are unusual in the West Riding in having "areas for front access to their basement, like London's grander terraces, many with original railings." Grade II listed.
