One of two remnants set in the North wall of the church. The other remnant is Image Said to be part of the cross to St Aldhelm, Bishop of Sherborne (died AD709), who's body was rested in Colerne on its way to Malmesbury Abbey where he had served as Abbot. There is a 2oᵗʰC Saxon style cross in the churchyard on a medieval plinth, see Image In Image they can both be seen flanking a 12ᵗʰC saint, centre left. Milestone Society National ID: WINW_COL
