Marking the Diamond Jubilee 2012, our late Queen, Elizabeth II protected 1,392 parks and green spaces throughout the UK. The green space next to the Parish Council offices became one of them. There is a plaque at the entrance https://fieldsintrust.org/about-us/history/historic-programmes,
