The Memorial Park bandstand is occupied by the Thornbury Swing Band, who were belting out a number of timeless classics of the time - think Glen Miller. Also present were a scattering of WWII militaria and plenty of wartime fashions. A large crowd gathered in the natural bowl of the park, enjoying the occasion.
