The name board identifies it as a 'Wesleyan Reform Chapel'. Built in 1861, in Classical style, with the worship area on the upper floor and a Sunday school beneath (these were more usually separate buildings). Listed grade II as 'a simple town-chapel prominently situated', list entry 1133431.
