The name of the footpath that links King Street to King Place that runs alongside the Theatre Multi-Storey Car Park. The latter was opened in 1984 on the site of King Street, first developed in the 1790s and demolished in stages from the 1950s to the 1970s, see https://regencysociety-jamesgray.com/volume25/source/jg_25_042.html for a view of the cleared area taken in 1979. All that is left of the street is the northern end, see Image], still named King Street and a redeveloped southern portion renamed King Place. The path runs along the site of the houses on the western side, one of which, number 21, was the Running Horse, opened in 1790 as the Hen and Chicken, and closed in 1964, see https://regencysociety-jamesgray.com/volume25/source/jg_25_028.html for a view taken in 1955 and another, https://regencysociety-jamesgray.com/volume25/source/jg_25_007.html , taken in 1966 after closure but before demolition.
