The "Forever" memorial on Marlowe Way in Royal Wootton Bassett was a significant tribute honouring the 355 British military personnel who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. Crafted by artist Mark Humphrey, a marble poppy sculpture was gifted to the town in recognition of its heartfelt tributes during military repatriations. Regrettably, the sculpture collapsed in 2016, marking a sad end to its physical presence. This is now what is in its place.
