One of those outdoor exercise facilities with various fixed exercise machines, similar to the machines found in indoor gyms. I see things like this from time to time. I must say that I have never seen anyone using them. They do not look inviting, or practical, or well designed, or well used. Or even that they would make a meaningful impact on anyone's personal fitness, movement, mobility, cardio-vascular health or self-esteem... I might be quite wrong. Someone obviously thought that these machines would benefit the local populace. They are obviously free to use and if I was to come here regularly and use them in a structured, consistent and planned way I may well appreciate their value. But to me they seem an amusing novelty, a waste of money and a rather incongruous and conspicuous way of exercising when other more user-friendly means already exist.
