The old Shifnal Workhouse

The building was originally erected in 1817; some 20 years later it was designated as the 'Union Workhouse' for Shifnal and 14 surrounding parishes. It was later incorporated into the Cottage Hospital, as was the case with very many workhouses around the country. It was given a Grade II listing https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101367622-former-workhouse-at-shifnal-hospital-shifnal in 1984, and has now been converted to private flats.
