Stone post (plate lost) by the UC road (was B5253), in parish of FARINGTON (SOUTH RIBBLE District), off Croston Road, North end at roundabout junction with Fidler Lane on verge. Preston iron plate, erected by the Wigan & Preston (north of Yarrow) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (Preston) (4) Milestone Society National ID: LA_PSWG04.
