Passing the Mary Brück Building on the University of Edinburgh's King's Buildings campus. It is hard to find out what department is housed here, but I think it some of the biological sciences. Mary Brück was an astronomer. Astronomy being a science with many distinguished women scientists, almost all of whom ignored or forgotten until recent years. Construction began here on West Mains Farm in about 1921 with the Chemistry laboratories being the first to be built. At one time it was proposed that the whole university should move here not just science and engineering. The name King's Buildings was chosen because there was a king in 1920.
