Alloa Tower

A tower house owned by the Earls of Mar. Once it was attached to a big house but that burned down in 1800, the tower being saved. It fell into disuse and was restored just in time to save the original medieval roof. Opening in 1996 and now in the care of the National Trust for Scotland.
