Described by Pevsner as “one of the paramount examples of late C15 timber framed architecture in England”, referring to this frontage. Timber dating shows that parts of the framing date from the 14th century. A particular feature of this front is the plaster figures https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7828922 attached to the studs. Listed Grade II*.
