The name of the field according to Kirdford's 1845 tithe map located to the north of Scratchings Lane. Beyond the trees in the distance is the site of Roundwyck Furnace and its former pond bay. There is little evidence regarding its period of operation except the former earthworks. The pond is dry but had three branches whose position can be made out in the current landscape.
