I remember my Geography teacher at school explaining about pot holes and how they were so common in the continental United States due to freeze thaw action. We didn't have that problem so severely in the U.K. Humm I think it had more to do with the fact that in those days Car Tax was styled as "The Road Fund Licence". For the first 14 years of my life I lived on a B classified road . It was resurfaced at least twice in that time. The first time I became the proud owner of one of the discarded cats eyes. It looks like Tendering council have a job on their hands; patches upon patches.
