A telephoto study of buildings south-west of Queensway Great Charles Street. This hotch-potch composition along Cambridge Street includes the iconic library with its gilded hat. On the left is the rear of the Copthorne Hotel, and on the right is part of one of the support/tower cranes attached to the ever growing Octagon housing tower. Centrally is a rear view of Baskerville House, with its ugly blueglassed upward extension. In the foreground are various temporary contractors' buildings connected with the adjacent huge Octagon building development.
