Carved stone post by the A30, in parish of LUDGVAN (PENWITH District), West of Cockwells, just before lay-by, on South side of road. Hayle facets, erected by the Hayle Bridge Causeway turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : PENZANCE / 4 MILES / LAND'S END / 14 : : HAYLE / 4 MILES / CAMBORNE / 10 / REDRUTH / 16 / TRURO / 22 : Carved benchmark and rivet on top. Grade II listed.
