A variety of sea defences have been installed along the beach to the north of Bacton. Despite all these measures the sea is regularly breaching the breakwaters, groynes, revetments and steel sheet pilings, taking away large chunks of beach and cliff face. Here some recent damages to cliff and revetments, and to the steps which provide access to the caravan park above, are in the process of being repaired.
