The Christmas Golden Arrow excursion, from Gloucester to Canterbury, hauled by No.34046 'Braunton'. The steam locomotive took over from a diesel at the Hanwell Bridge Loop, with the route to Beckenham Junction being via Clapham Junction and Crystal Palace. Having been held at signals, just around the bend, there was an amount of wheel-spin as the locomotive set off.
