This Dalek road sign appeared on sign posts near here a few days ago... It was originally hoped to be a part of the original signage by the exhibition and were pipped at the post by the bed. Apparently the regulations only allow 4 regulation images on a sign. Bowling, cinema, meals and accommodation had already been bagged. According to one of the curators of the Dr. Who Exhibition, the Dalek symbol is, and has been an officially recognised as a UK road sign symbol since it was accepted by the Welsh Development Agency in 1994 at the Llangollen Eisteddfod. Since then, being a part of the UK's accepted road signage scheme, needed no further planning permission! the building in the background is now known as the Red Dragon Centre which causes endless confusion as local road signs call the area the Leisure Village and also the area was originally known also as Atlantic wharf.
