This old milestone on the A64 from the Sherburn Lodge area has been moved slightly and reset at the entrance to Sherburn Lodge Cottage. It has lost all its white paint in the last 20 years. The route from Malton to Hunmanby is shown on Jeffrey's 1771 map. A painted legend may have been STAXTON 4/MALTON 11 Grade II listed 1308339.
