Three miles have been travelled westwards along the A170 since seeing the previous NRYCC milepost, SCARBORO 6. This one is in Snainton almost opposite a thatched cottage. This is another post close to a wall so impossible to look inside the back but it is of the style cast at the foundry of F Mattison & Co. Bedale in the late 19thC early 20th. The foundry was actually in Leeming Bar.
