Former GNR erecting shop

One of the few original buildings remaining from the original Great Northern Railway locomotive works at Doncaster, this one dates from 1891. In 2014 it was listed grade II (list entry 1420744) for various reasons including being the birthplace of famous locomotives such as the Mallard, Sir Nigel Gresley and Flying Scotsman. It appears still to be in railway use.
