These are the remains of the vertical duplex steam barring engine that turned the flywheel of the 1910 Musgrave uniflow engine. The flywheel rim is on the left. The barring engine crankshaft and worm drive gear should be at the top between the two bearing houses but most of the motion has been stolen. It is intended that the barring engine will be restored first and a funding application has been made.
