Blue Plaque erected by the Ramsbottom Heritage Society. www.ramsbottomheritage.org.uk Old Ground Inn was part of John Tillotson & Son, Duck/Waterloo Brewery, Waterloo Street, Clitheroe, Lancashire. T & R Hornby listed in 1864 with John Tillotson & Son by 1871. Acquired by Crabtree Ltd. February 1904 with 27 houses. By October 1861 it was occupied by Daniel Murray, Blacksmith and Beer Retailer and his wife, Betty. Opened in c1861 closed in 1912.
