There is a black memorial just in front of this build, the plaque on the front reads "Erected by the Employees of The Coventry Chain Co In Memory of their 45 comrades who fell in the Great War 1914-1918". There is another plaque on the rear, "The Memorial Plaque was returned to the City of Coventry by Stuart Clewlow from Lancashire on the 25th June 1999 and re-instated on this site with the help of Renold Chain, Burton on Trent, Central Surface Finishing, Coventry, Haley-Rowe Ltd, Coventry, CCS, Coventry and Kock Ltd on 10th September 1999".
