The Milestone is located beside road on the West of the road. Parish of Compton Dundon (SOSS District). Metal plate was attached to stone post, LSCC iron plate design, erected by the Langport, Somerton & Castle Cary turnpike trust in the 19th Century. Inscription reads:- (6¼ / GLASTONBURY / SOMERTON / 1) Milestone Society National ID: SO_SOGB01
