The gardens afford some magnificent views of the Kingsbridge Estuary. This view is from the terrace in front of the house. Overbeck's is an Edwardian house and 7 acre (2.75 hectare) garden at Sharpitor near Salcombe in Devon. The garden terraces are cut into the side of the cliffs high above the Salcombe Estuary. The garden is sheltered from the winds, creating a microclimate in which an exotic collection of tender, subtropical plants has been curated by owners since the beginning of the 20th century. The house is used as a museum, and it and the garden have been owned by the National Trust since 1937. The gardens are on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens, grade II, with much history and detail at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1000697
