Built in 1972 to allow relocation of Carrick Academy’s primary department, Gardenrose was one of the then new-style open plan primary schools. An early years class was added later by Strathclyde Regional Council. The school closed in 2023 when it merged with Cairn PS to form the new Culzean Primary School in Maybole Community Campus. See Image Now redundant, this spacious site is expected to be used for housing.
