The tarmac road ends at red-roofed Butlers Farm, which dates from 1610 and is Grade II listed: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1196129?section=official-list-entry . Beyond the farm, paths and bridle ways lead to Saffron Walden, Little Walden, Sadlers Farm and Mitchells.
