LNER B12 4-6-0 8572 heads the 14.00 train from Kidderminster around the curve just north of Arley station and will shortly pass Severn Lodge. 8572 is based on the North Norfolk Railway at Sheringham but was making its first visit to the SVR for the 1998 Autumn Gala. It was, I think, 8572's first trip away from the NNR after restoration completion in 1995. It would be 20 years before it visited again. The train is appropriately composed of the SVR's 6 LNER teak-bodied coaches.
