Old Court is now an upmarket hotel but it has a chequered history. The house was built ca 1570 and early owners include Thomas Gwillim who fought at the Battle of Quebec and John Simcoe who was the first Lieutenant Governer of Upper Canada and also the founder of the city of Toronto. www.oldcourthotel.co.uk
