Different sources give different ages for this Church Square pub: the sign outside describes it as a '15th century inn' but the official Historic England listing says it is an early 18th century house, now a public house. In any case, it is no longer operational. There may be hope; it is currently advertised on line for rental as 'a landmark 16th century coaching inn' at a guide price of £45,000 per annum.
