Resident’s have reported Speeding In and around the Wistaston area, areas of concern are Broughton Lane, Crewe Road and Wistaston Green Green Road. Speeding on Broughton Lane occurring late in the evening mainly when dark and School collection time through to 6pm. Complaints of Speeding through resident’s voice for Wistaston Green Road throughout the day.

Officers have conducted Speeding Enforcement on Broughton Lane the first occasion 7 vehicles were caught exceeding the speed limit and the second occasion 5 vehicles were exceeding the speed limit. All Motorist will now be dealt with vis a fixed Penalty notice and point or Driver Awareness course.
We are also looking to create and merge Voluntary Speed Watch groups in the Wistaston area to raise awareness deterring excessive speed in the community. If you are interested in joining please email [email protected]

Reports of drug dealing on Mulberry Road.

Local Beat officer and PCSO’s completed a ward walk with the local housing, officers worked with the local residents to find out a vehicle registration, we then used ANPR work and local intelligence to find and locate the vehicle . The vehicle was the seized and an arrest was made.

Dangerous XL BULLY at an address in Wistaston

The Local Beat officer and PCSO gathered information and intelligence about a suspected banned breed of dog at an address in Wistaston. Officers were able to gather enough intelligence to get a warrant sworn out at court. This was granted and an XL BULLY was seized as a result.

Parking along Kings Drive

Officers have conducted regular foot patrols before school and after school, lots of educational flyers have been given out and advisory notices. A letter has been sent out to parents from Cheshire Police asking everyone to park sensibly and safely
