Church House was probably built to an 'L' plan in the late 16th or early 17th century with later alterations. One wing is timber framed with plaster infill and the second wing is of partly squared and coursed sandstone rubble stone, all under a Welsh slate roof. There is another image of the house at Image Listed, for group value, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1082097 Adforton is a small village in Herefordshire, near the border with Wales. It lies astride the A4110 road some 7 miles east of Knighton and about 7½ miles southwest of Ludlow. The name means 'settlement connected with Ealdfrith'. Adforton was originally an agricultural village but most working residents now commute.
