Grade II* Listed late 18th century house. Previously a B&B around May 2022 it changed to a 7 bedroom holiday let advertised as 'Six Castlegate'. In 1979 planning granted an extension to provide kitchen and garage with additional bedroom over and the next year planning granted an extension to form sun room with terrace. In 1984 use of the ground floor as a tea/coffee room was allowed. A conservatory was added in 1999. I can't see planning for a change to bed and breakfast so it may have been in the 1970s or earlier but 2003 brought a change of use of bed and breakfast dining room to a tea room open to the public. It seems to have been refurbished in 2006, possibly when the tea room closed as I can see no evidence of it in the 2009 Google Street View.
