Originally built in the late C17th or early C18th on an earlier foundation Heligan House was mostly rebuilt in 1727. It was remodelled and extended around 1810 with later C19th and C20th additions and modifications. It now lies within the "Lost Gardens of Heligan" visitor attraction, which were its original grounds, though the house itself is private accommodation.
