Chinnor: Station Road

The original layout of Chinnor was of four roads in a rectangle about a mile in circuit. This is the western road, known as Station Road once the railway was built. The gardens and orchards enclosed in the rectangle, and behind the cottages in the photograph, may once have been a part of the mediaeval burgage plots.
