No.36 (with cream front) represents “A substantially complete example of a late C17 merchant's house, retaining its plan form and other features of interest.” (HE listing). Listed Grade II*. No.37 is one of a pair of 17th century merchants' houses with no.38 (out of picture to right, see https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7530138 ), Listed Grade II. The ground floor windows and doors appear to be original.
