This and the equally narrow Undercliff Road are the only ways into the old part of Turnchapel. It is open for two-way traffic with no intermediate passing places and blind bends, making it a challenge if vehicles enter at both ends at the same time. It is also part of the South West Coast Path, and there is barely room for even a small van to pass pedestrians using the path.
