At the east end of Low Yewdale Bridge (photograph Image) the public bridleway from Monk Coniston turns left to cross Yewdale Beck. Northbound walkers following The Cumbria Way keep straight ahead through the footpath gate, following the public footpath to Tarn Hows Wood (next photograph Image).
