Set in the middle of a green in a beautiful old corner of Killyleagh. Sir Hans Sloane (1660-1753) was born in Killyleagh of Ulster-Scots descent. Physician (FCP), collector (FRS) and philanthropist, he was a polymath of a sort not seen nowadays. Amongst other notable facts about his life, he is credited with inventing milk chocolate, whilst Sloane Square in London is named after him. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Sloane
