Bledlow: Perry Lane and a red kite

Red kites, imported from Spain, were re-introduced to the Chilterns and first successfully bred in 1992. In 2001 the number of breeding pairs reached 132, with 177 in 2003. The red kite visible top left was one of a pair wheeling over Bledlow Cottages to the left.
