The shell of the iconic Winter Gardens, built 1899-1900. It has been derelict since the 1980s. In the last few years the Council's Land and Environment Services department erected a fence around the site and cleared vegetation which was taking over the building. Unfortunately this vegetation is taking hold again and is likely to be damaging the structure of the Category A listed https://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB33298 building. The Springburn Winter Gardens Trust are hoping to restore the structure. The building is in the Buildings at Risk Register https://www.buildingsatrisk.org.uk/details/890922.
