Recently under new ownership, this local hostelry takes its name from the Feilden family, local gentry who dwelt at nearby Feniscowles Hall and Witton House, both now sadly in varying states of decay. The pub itself was one of the oldest surviving buildings, dating from the time when Feniscowles was known as Higher Moulden.
